Doris A. Peterson, 90 died Thursday, August 15, 2013 in Lake Charles, LA. She was born August 24, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY.
She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her children and their spouses: Doris Peterson Ribbeck Harold of Westlake, Robert Peterson Sallie of N. Charleston, SC; Stephen Peterson of Rockville, MD; James Peterson Connie of Woodworth, LA and John Peterson Julie Selby of Lake Charles; also 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Boardingham, Jr, and Francis Howard Peterson and her parents Frederick and Isabelle Hanish.
Doris retired in 1999 as administrative assistant to the Prien Lake Mall manager after 20 years of service.
Visitation will be August 18, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home with a rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, August 19, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Home, Lake Charles, LA.
The family would like to express a special word of thanks to Elmer Johnson, her caregiver and best friend, for the care to their mother.
