Dorothy Mae Louviere Bryant, 95, passed peacefully at home on August 24th, 2026, and entered Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She lived a life rooted in her profound love for Jesus and her deep love for her family. She was a devoted wife to Morgan Bryant, whom she met as he shipped out to World War Il at the same time as her brother; a protective mother to Glenn and Nadine supporting them at school, at the rodeo and in cheerleading; and an active member of East Ridge Baptist Church where she loved her friends, fellowship and playing beanbag. She also loved cooking, crocheting, reading, watching sports.
Dorothy liked to be needed and help out wherever she could. She helped her husband at Overflow Machine Shop for 17 years, her son at Bryant Real Estate until she was 92, and her daughter at SCA cheer camps for 15 years. She also volunteered with the Memorial Hospital's Ladies Auxiliary serving as a pink lady and in the gift shop for 15 years. At home she was always crocheting, making baby blankets and Christening dresses for family and friends. She was happy to be of service. Dorothy loved staying involved: hearing about and from her family and friends. They made her smile.
Dorothy Mae Louviere Bryant rejoined her husband, Morgan, and her dearly departed family and friends. She leaves behind her children, son Glenn Bryant and daughter-in-law Nicole Bryant, and daughter Nadine Romero and son-in-law Guy Romero. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Morgan Gullatt and grandson-in-law Ryan Gullatt, Rivers Romero, and Peyton Romero; as well as her great-grandchildren, Graham, Weston, and Camden Gullatt.
