Dorothy “Louise” Tuttle, 89, of Westlake, LA passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at her son’s residence.
Mrs. Louise was born on December 29, 1927 in Doucette, TX to Benjamin Johnson and Ruby Datenhoff Johnson. When Mrs. Louise was just a girl they moved to Westlake, LA where she graduated from Westlake High School. She retired from the Calcasieu Parish School Board after 16 years as a bus driver. She also loved being a homemaker and was devoted to her family and her children whom she loved passionately. In her more recent years she enjoyed sewing, reading, and cooking. She was also a member of Bellview Baptist church in Westlake. Mrs. Louise will be remembered for being very disciplined, always looking her best, and for her kind soul.
Left to cherish Mrs. Louise’s memory are her two sons, Danny Goss and wife Linda of Moss Bluff, LA and Russell Goss and wife Vicki of Westlake, LA; her grandson, Rusty Goss and wife Mykel; great grandchildren, Micah Goss, Tyler Goss, and Keigan Goss; sisters, Pat Burnett of Lake Charles, LA, Dixie Lawson of Westlake, LA, Ellen Rogers of Westlake, LA, and Cindy Waldrop and husband Kevin of Bossier City, LA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Tuttle; parents; grandson, Sonny Goss; brother, J.B. Johnson; sister, Marie Deville; as well as the father of her children, Orville Goss.
The family would like to give a special Thank You to Mrs. Callie East with Amedisys Hospice for her love, care, and support in their time of need.
Her memorial service will be held at 11:00 Am on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Bellview Baptist Church in Westlake, LA.
