Dorothy Wilson Talbot, 91, of Lake Charles, LA passed away in a local hospital on Thursday, December 6, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born in Baton Rouge, LA on October 9, 1927 to Drewie and Floy Ober Wilson.
Dorothy moved to Lake Charles from Baton Rouge as a child. She graduated from Lake Charles High School where she was a member of the Kilties team. Dorothy attended McNeese University. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Brownie Drilling Company for many years.
Dorothy loved to shop, travel and read, but her passion was for LSU Football. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mount William Talbot, her son Kenneth William Talbot and her two sisters, Wanda Herrington and Floy “Corky” Carlton.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, William Todd (Jenny) Talbot, Gari (Byron Gibbs) Talbot, Virginia “Ginger” Talbot, Kelly Talbot and Martha (Michael) Richard. She also leaves eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Funeral Home on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 11AM-1PM. The funeral service will be at 1PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
