Dorris Petross

Dorris Petross, 81, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016 in the comfort of her home and is now reunited with her husband of 62 years, Jimmy, who passed away on January 22, 2016.    Dorris was a member of Maplewood Church of Christ.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She loved to cook, sew and work in her garden.  Dorris also loved to go ride and see the changing of the seasons.    Dorris is survived by her children; Ernie Petross (Patricia) of Carlyss, Kirk Petross ( Maria) of Groves, TX and Dortha “Sissy” Valentine (Bobby) of Sulphur; seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one sister, Rosemary Hebert; one brother, Allen Drost; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy; one brother, Behrend Drost; and her parents, Ernest and Rosa Drost.   A memorial service for Dorris will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 10 AM at Maplewood Church of Christ.
