Douglas "Doug" Williams

Douglas Keith Williams, 54, of Columbus, OH, passed away on June 21, 2017.  He was born on September 10, 1962, in Lake Charles LA to Carl Gene Williams and Laura Mae Addison Williams.

Douglas, or Doug as he was known to all who knew him, was a graduate of Sam Houston High School and Louisiana State University with his Master’s Degree (E.G., MA, MS).  Doug worked at J.P. Morgan/Chase for over 25 years and was on the Americas Funds Marketing Team.

Doug was a “world traveler” and he loved to travel, especially with his friends, nieces and nephews.  He was a very talented artist and loved to run, participating in several marathons both in the United States as well as over seas.

Doug is preceded in death by his mother, Laura Mae Addison Williams.

Those left to cherish Doug’s memory are: his father, Carl G. Williams; his brothers, Mitch Williams (Pat), Mike Williams (Lora), and Gene Williams (Lauri); and his sister Melinda Williams Tilley (Dane).  He also leaves: his nieces and nephews, Fallon Harrison (Sam), Adele Tilley, Taylor Williams, Jordan Williams, Merrie Williams, Maggie Williams, Mollie Williams, and Mikkie Williams; and his great nephew, Gray Daniel Harrison.

Doug’s family will receive guests at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, LA, on Sunday, June 25 from 1-3PM.  Funeral services, officiated by Floyd “Rocky” East, will be held at the funeral home starting at 3PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sam Houston High School Art Club, 880 Sam Houston Jones Parkway, Lake Charles, LA 70611
