Duffy Norris Moore Jr.

Duffy “Norris” Moore, Jr. of Lebleu Settlement was born August 10, 1940 in Bell City, LA to late Duffy Moore, Sr. and Ezora Bellard, passed away Monday, May 5, 2025, at the age of 84 surrounded by his family.

Norris began working at an early age, so he was a jack of all trades, working on the farm, driving trucks, numerous things in the oilfield and construction. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, welding, fixing things & spending time with his family outside.

He is survived by his devoted wife of sixty -one years, Jeanora, children, John (Pam) Moore, Theresa (Brian) Lacomb, James (Gloria) Moore, Sr., Brian Moore, Angie (Brian) Allen, Keith (Nicole) Moore & Michelle (Justin) O’Neal; grandchildren, Steven, Hannah, Jeffery, Eric, Stephanie, James Jr., Ryan, Duffy, Cameron, Faith, Samantha, Trey, Shaylynn, Jodie, Corey & Isabella; bonus ones Abi & Jayln; thirty great-grandchildren, siblings Liz, Qunita & Jay. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Shirley, Valvalee, Harry & Bobby and granddaughter, Dakota.

Funeral services will be held at Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 1 p.m. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins at Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 9 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.Pallbearers are his children & honorary bearers are his grandchildren.
