Earl John “Blue” Armentor, 85, of Lake Charles passed away at 3:27 PM on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 in a New Orleans hospital.
Mr. Armentor was born on September 9, 1939 in Crowley and had resided in Lake Charles for the past 60 years. He was a proud graduate of St. Michael’s Catholic School in Crowley, where he was active in football and track. After working for 12 years at Citgo Petroleum, he founded Precision Services Machine Shop in 1980. For more than 40 years, he owned and operated the business alongside his sons, dedicating himself fully to both his work and family.
An avid runner and long-time member of the Lake Area Runners, he embraced the outdoors and found joy in woodworking, fishing, crabbing, shrimping, and camping on the beach. He especially cherished traveling out west to the mountains with his loved ones. A loyal supporter of McNeese football, he enjoyed tailgating and cooking for games. He also liked trying his luck at the slot machines from time to time. One of his greatest pleasures was traveling to attend his grandchildren’s many activities—cheering them on at football, baseball, soccer games, swim meets, track events, and band halftime performances and concerts. He was the hardest worker and the most loyal "Paw Paw" his family could ask for.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda Jean Armentor; his sons Jeff (Maureen), Chris (Rika), and Greg; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ignace and Clovelia Armentor; his brothers Jesse, Percy, and Curtis; and his godchild, Steve Armentor.
