“Gone too soon”
Westlake – Earl Jay “E.J.” Hales, 33, passed away in a local hospital on Tuesday, October 6, 2015.
E. J. was born in Colorado Springs, CO on June 28, 1982 to Michael Lee and Eva Carter Hales. He was a laborer in the construction field and enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. E. J. also loved music, cooking and helping people.
He is survived by his father, Michael and wife, Kathleen Corbello Hales of Iowa; children, Blake and Johnathon Hales of Bee Bayou, LA, Eva, Gracie and Dalton Hales of Westlake; sisters, Frankie Parker and husband, Timmy of Vicksburg, MS, Verna Hales and companion, Brandon Smith of DeRidder, LA; step-brother, Michael Corbello and wife, Robin of Lacassine; step-grandmother, Ellen Corbello of Iowa and many nieces and nephews. Proceeding him in death is his mother, Eva Carter Hales; grandmother, Francis “Mickey” Robinson; grandfathers, Aubrey Hales and Jay Carter and step-grandfathers, Clarence Corbello and Earl K. Robinson.
Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. As per his wishes, there will be no service.
