Earl Guidry

Earl Guidry, 84, passed away on December 7, 2018 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.  Earl was a native of Lake Arthur.  He retired from Citgo after over 30 years of service.  After retiring from Citgo, Earl was in charge of the Big Woods Hunting Club.  Earl proudly served our country in the United States Navy, serving in the Korean War.

Earl is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy; his children, Allen Ketnor and wife Kathleen, Kirk Guidry, Kent Guidry and wife Tracie, Elizabeth Guidry, Vicki Guillory and husband Ben, Donna Chaisson, Randy Guidry and wife Delenia and Jaime Goos and husband Coby; 23 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild, 3 grand dogs; and two brothers, Homer “Tex” Guidry and Calvin Guidry.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Oran Guidry and Mamie Touchet; 1 sister, Betty Myers; and 1 brother, Hubert Guidry.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with Father Edward Richard, M.S. officiating.  Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines North.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home from 4-9 PM with a rosary recited at 6 PM.  Visitation will resume at the funeral home Monday morning from 9 AM until time to leave for the church.
