Earline Richard Hooper

October 28, 1942 — March 10, 2017

Earline Mary Richard Hooper, 74, of Lake Charles passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 in a local hospital with her loved ones by her side.

 

Mrs. Hooper was a native of and lived most of her life in Lake Charles. While following her husband’s military career, she lived many years in Rosepine where she worked in the cafeteria of the elementary school. During her later years, she was the “famous” Bingo caller for various organizations. She also enjoyed trips to the casino with her husband. Mrs. Hooper devoted her life and her love to her family. She will be most remembered as a lady of faith, a pillar of strength and dignity and for her sense of humor.

 

She leaves to cherish her memory, five daughters, Tammy Chaumont and husband Anthony of Westlake, Peggy Lovett and husband Ronny of Big Lake, Sondra Sonnier and husband Kurt of Lake Charles, Penny LeBleu and husband Durward of Sulphur and Joy Miller and husband Daniel of Roanoke; her “adopted children”, Harla Lofton of DeRidder and Danny Fuson and wife Nicole of FL; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and one brother, Thomas LeBlanc and his daughter Maryjane LeBlanc of Westlake.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Mack D. Hooper and her parents, Joseph G. LeBlanc and Lucille Newman LeBlanc.

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, March 13, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Kelly Vigo will officiate. Interment will follow in Hayes Cemetery. Visitation Sunday will be from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM and will continue Monday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
