Jennings – Ebbie Loyd “E.L.” Burnitt, 81, passed away in the comfort of his home on May 16, 2016.
E.L. was born in Green Oaks on July 16, 1934 to the late Ebenezer and Mammie Langley Burnitt.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda Myers Burnitt; sons, George Burnitt (Rebbie), Jimmie Burnitt, Chris Burnitt (Sam); brothers, Sherman Burnitt, Sherwood Burnitt; sister, Sue Burnitt; 8 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, John Burnitt and brother, Cleveland Burnitt.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 6 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation begins Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.
