Eddie Lorraine Nunez

Eddie “Te” Lorraine Nunez, 90, of Longville passed away at 12:50 PM on Thursday, April 22, 2021 in a Sulphur hospital.

Mrs. Nunez was born on November 5, 1930 in Creole, LA where she was a graduate of Creole High School in 1948. She was married on June 10, 1948 and resided in Cameron, LA until moving to Johnson’s Bayou, LA in 1983 until 1993. In 1993 she then moved to Longville, LA.

She was a woman of her faith. She enjoyed cooking, singing, and playing the piano. She also took pleasure in traveling, especially by motorcycle with her husband.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Ronald Nunez, Sr. (Alba) and Anthony Nunez; daughter in law, Donna Nunez; grandchildren, Tremayne Picou (Jessica), Shawn Nunez, Sarah Sonnier (Mike), Jacob Nunez (April), Joshua Nunez, Ronald Nunez, Jr. (Angie), Katia Castillo, Jose Castillo, Clayton Nunez, and Lauren Nunez; 18 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Howard; her father, Henry Mudd; husband, Burnell Nunez, Sr.; daughter, Janice Nunez; son, Burnell Nunez, Jr.; grandson, Daniel Picou, Jr.; and siblings, Wilson, Tom, and Andrew Mudd, Grace Roberts, Coochie Trahan, and Ann Trahan.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Sunday, April 25, 2021 in the Johnson funeral Home chapel in Moss Bluff.  The Rev. Steve Shirley will officiate.  Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley.  Visitation will begin on Sunday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
