Hayes- Edna Delane “Dee” Carlin, 58, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 in her residence.
Edna was born on January 17, 1956 in Lake Charles. She was a supervisor for New Life Counseling and a member of Glad Tidings Church. She enjoyed bible studies with friends.
Survivors are her husband, Jerome Carlin of Hayes; father, James Dallas Cooley of Lake Charles; daughter, Dana Lynn Benoit (Wyman) of Lake Charles; step-daughter, Brenna Jean Carlin of Lake Charles; sisters, Richelle Wynette Zarzaur (Raymond) of Birmingham, Alabama, Joan Dawnelle Pierce (Joey) of Mobile, Alabama and Jeanitra Carmon Smith (Thad) of Dallas, Texas; brother, Danny Dallas Cooley (Vickie) of Lake Charles; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ella Jean Cooley; daughter, Lakeyn Jane Carlin; grandfather, Horace Lee Cormier, Sr., grandmother, Ella Mae Cormier; aunt, Dru Martin and uncle, Donald Cormier.
Visitation is Tuesday, November, 25, 2014 from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Funeral service is Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Paula Raley officiating. Burial will follow in Lorrain DeRouen under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home.
