Edward Earl Dearman Sr.

Edward "Ed" Earl Dearman Sr., 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Ed was born on March 10, 1944, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to Ollie Burton and Floy Cooke Dearman.

Ed proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Corpsman. He loved playing golf and was a devoted fan of the New Orleans Saints. Ed never met a stranger and was known for his quick wit and love of cracking jokes. He was an incredibly hard worker whose career allowed him to travel to different countries. Above all, Ed was a devoted family man who cherished spending time with those he loved most.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 61 years, Betty Jo Cushman Dearman; sons, Edward "Eddie" Earl Dearman Jr. and wife Tracy, and Joseph Burton Dearman and wife Jill; daughters, Lisa Ann Harris and husband Charles "Chuck," Sherry Leigh Dunn, and Stacy Renee Dowling; grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas, Bailey and her husband Canon, and their son Beckham, Colton, Cal, Megan, James, Drew, Brandon, Jessica, and Cody; along with numerous great-grandchildren.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
