Iowa – Edward Glenn Fontenot, born on December 6, 1948, son of Chester and Cecile (Duplechin) Fontenot, passed away in his residence on July 1, 2021, at the age of 73.
Edward was a graduate of DeRidder High School and a member of First UPC of Iowa. He was a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed fishing and going to flea markets in his spare time.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Malcolm Fontenot.
Edward is survived by his wife of 41 years, Louise; daughter, Theresa Fontenot Carbo (Daryl) of Destrehan, LA; siblings, Carl Fontenot of Tyler, TX and Shalinda Oliver of Frisco, TX; 1 grandchild.
Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 11 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
