Effie Lois Fournerat

Effie Lois Fournerat, 94 of Sulphur passed away on May 23, 2020 in her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Mamou, LA and lived most of her life in Sulphur. Effie was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Effie is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Fontenot of Fanette, TX and Patricia Guidry and husband Freddie of DeQuincy, LA; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Kannance Fournerat; and her son, Louis Fournerat.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 3 P.M. at Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss with Father Edward Richard officiating under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 27, from 12- 2 P.M at Johnson and Robsion Funeral Home with a rosary at 2:00 P.M. before leaving for the cemetery. The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice for taking such great care of their mother.
