Eldon Ray LeJeune, Sr., born in Jennings on August 31, 1945, son of Gaflin James and Ruby Mary (Beard) LeJeune, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at the age of 78.
Eldon worked as a directional driller in the oilfield. He joined the U.S. Navy and served faithfully for 4 years. Eldon enjoyed fishing, riding his 4-wheeler, and motorcycle.
He is preceded in death by his father, Gaflin James LeJeune, and daughter, Tina Benoit.
Survivors are his mother, Ruby LeJeune; daughter, Tammy Bradberry (Keith), and son, Eldon Ray LeJeune, Jr. (Elisabeth); brothers, Carlton LeJeune (Randa), Ronald LeJeune (Trisha), and Frederic LeJeune (Theresa); grandchildren, Teresa, Nikolas, Jacob, Summer, Dylon, Luke, and Emerie; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Camron, Kylee, James, Marleigh, and Ares, and great-great-grandchildren, Heidi, and Luna. He is also survived by his godchild, Danielle, and several nieces, and nephews.
A Gathering of friends and family will begin Monday, November 6, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Cremation will follow the gathering under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
