Eleanor V. Fisk Boldt

Eleanor V. Fisk Boldt, 78, of Lake Charles passed away at 7:37 AM on Monday, April 24, 2017 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Boldt was born on April 10, 1939 in Huntington, TX and moved to Lake Charles 47 years ago.  She was an advanced mathematics student and received her Bachelor Degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.  Mrs. Boldt taught sporadically over 12 years in the Calcasieu Parish School Board system.  She was a devoted member of University United Methodist Church.

Ms. Boldt was a sharp wit, prodigious reader and avid stamp collector. She had a soft spot for animals, especially cats. She enjoyed swapping stories about her children and grandchildren with her close friends:  Jo, Wanda, Amy, Garleatha and Kay.  She particularly enjoyed holidays and extracurricular activities with the grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are two children, Stacey Boldt Haynes (Adrian) of New Orleans and David Michael Boldt of Gonzales; and three grandchildren, Connor, Camryn, and Colin Boldt all of Gonzales.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Boldt III and her parents, David and Ruby Fisk.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Charles Langford will officiate.  A gathering of family and friends will begin at 2:00 PM and will continue until the start of the service.
