Eli Melvin Broussard

Eli Melvin Broussard, 88, of Breaux Bridge passed away on November 13, 2017 in his residence. Eli enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, and living off the land. He loved listening to French music, dancing, his dogs, and helping anyone in need.

Eli is survived by his three children, Phyllis Carouthers and husband Bennie of Batson, TX, Theresa Knott and husband Aaron of Breaux Bridge, LA, and Kathy Mulreany and husband Eddie of Bossier City, LA; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Velma Accord and Ruby Duhon. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Leanna Broussard; his son, Glen Broussard; and his parents, Helair and Anna Broussard.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 10 A.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gandy officiating. Burial will be in Head of the Hollow Cemetery in Johnson Bayou under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 4-9 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with visitation continuing on Saturday, November 18 at 8 A.M. until the service.
