Elizabeth Alice Pierson

Elizabeth Alice Pierson, 85, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 7:59 PM on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in a local hospital.

Ms. Pierson was born October 4, 1932 in Suffolk, England and lived in the Lake Charles area for almost fifty years. During her earlier years, she babysat numerous children in her residence and later worked at Wal-Mart in the Fabric Department for twenty-six years, retiring at the age of 80. She loved to sew and read and will always be remembered for her sense of humor.

Ms. Pierson is survived by her children, Vickie Duvail and husband David of Lumberton, TX, Mark W. Hunt and Kim Bellard of Lake Charles and Sean Pierson and wife Dina of Lake Charles; son-in-law, Russell Bell of Huntsville, TX; grandchildren, Dylan Ray Bell, Heather Elizabeth Harrington, Elizabeth Paige Hunt, Justin Dale Pierson, Cade Michael Pierson and Alex Victoria Pierson; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Wallace and Dorothy Elsie Irene Moore Largent; daughter, Sandra Jean Bell; and sisters, Daphne Adcox and Jeanne Brewster.

Her memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. A gathering of family members and friends will be on Saturday from 2:00 PM until the start of the service.
