Ellen Bolles Soileau

Ellen Bolles Soileau, 75, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 12:10 PM on Thursday, October 13, 2016 in a local care facility.

Ms. Soileau was born June 23, 1941 in Elton, LA, and was a graduate of Elton High School. She was also a graduate of Louisiana School of Beauty Culture, worked for Lou Gabbert and was the owner / operator of Jo-Ellen’s Fashionette. She also worked as a nurse’s aide at Kinder Hospital and Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Most recently she worked at Wal-Mart in Moss Bluff and Jennings. She was a former member of Agape Lighthouse Church in Kinder. Ms. Soileau enjoyed traveling and cooking for others. Her greatest joy in life came from her family and grandchildren.

Ms. Soileau is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Felice and husband James of Moss Bluff; mother, Vickie Bolles Ramsdale and husband Jim of Iowa, LA; brother, John Bolles and wife Mattie of Jennings; sister, Delores Pitre of Elton, LA; grandchildren, Thomas Teague of Lake Charles, Derek Felice of Lake Charles, Taylor Teague and wife Halston of Ragley, and Jordan Felice of Moss Bluff; two great-grandchildren, Atlas and Demitri; father of her children, Earl Soileau; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kelly Layne Teague; father, Ezra Bolles; brother, Gary Bolles and a husband, Robert Earl Ballard.

Her funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Reverend Shane Bolles will officiate. Burial will follow the service at China Cemetery in Elton. Visitation will be on Monday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
