Elnora Rogers Romero
October 13, 1927 — May 11, 2018
Elnora Rogers Romero, born October 13, 1927, daughter of the late Antonie and Maude (Meeker) Rogers, passed away Friday, May 11, 2018, at the age of 90.
She is survived by her daughters, Rosalie Franklin of Lake Charles, Dianna Broussard of Iowa, Lorena Corbello (Michael) of Lake Charles and Debra Fontenot (Jonathan) of Moss Bluff; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Ollie Mae Jambon (A. J.) of Marrero, Betty Lois Ciccone of Lodi, N. J. and Lucille Mae Grace Pippin of Slidell. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willis J. Romero; and siblings.
Elnora enjoyed dancing (she would rather dance than eat!) and reading. But most of all, she enjoyed visiting with anyone who would stop by and drink a cup of coffee with her. She loved her cats and dogs, always making sure they had enough to eat.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 10 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Burial will follow in Esterwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. and will resume Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
The family would like to express our deepest thanks & gratitude to the nurses, Adele, Jessica & Judy and the Chaplain from Harbor Hospice who treated our mom like their own.
