Elton Adam Guidry, Jr., born August 7, 1949, son of the late Elton Guidry, Sr. and Lorena Kershaw Guidry, passed away in his residence Friday, November 22, 2019, at the age of 70.
Elton attended Bell City and retired from Sweet Lake Land & Oil. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Fenton. He enjoyed cooking on weekends, fishing and Cajun dancing.
Elton is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy O’Blanc Guidry; daughter, Tammy Lynn Boullion (Daren); siblings, Lorena Ann Miller; Leroy Guidry; Melvin Guidry; grand-daughter, Brittany Boullion Reed (Dillan); great-grandson, Elliot Wayne Reed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Wayne Adam Guidry; brother, Willard Guidry.
Funeral services are Monday, November 25, 2019 at 10 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation begins Sunday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. and will resume Monday from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.
