Emelia B. Doucet, lovingly known to many as Aunt TT, was a beautiful soul whose life was filled with faith, love, family, and devotion. She loved to sing praises to the Lord, and her faith was a light that touched everyone around her.
She shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Wilbert "Buck" Doucet. Together, they built a loving family and raised eight beautiful children-four daughters and four sons. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.
Emelia had a special love for the color purple and beautiful flowers, but the greatest beauty in her life was the love she gave and received from her family. She cherished every moment spent surrounded by the people she loved.
To her family, she was more than a mother, wife, grandmother, and loved one-she was Aunt TT, a name filled with love, warmth, and precious memories that will forever remain in their hearts.
She leaves behind a beautiful legacy that will live on through her children; Katy Doucet, Linda Stevens (Sam), Richard Doucet (Mary), Larry Ducet (Donna), Patricia Simmons, Judy Cox (Malcolm), Wilbert Doucet, and Jeremy Doucet (Angie); grandchildren, eighteen; great grandchildren, twenty three; great great grandchildren, nine; sister, Clara Pringle, family, and all those whose lives she touched. Though she may no longer be here to sing her praises, her song continues through the hearts of those who loved her.
She is preceded in passing by her loving husband of 51 years Wilbert "Buck" Doucet; parents, Joe and Avilia Breaux Bumgarden; daughter in law, Sue Ella Doucet; son in law, Doyle Simmons; great great grandson, Rhett Burkhead.

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
- 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)
