Emite Leroy Rose, Sr.

Emite LeRoy Rose, Sr., 74, of DeRidder, LA, died at 1:36 AM on Sunday, February 17, 2019 in a local hospital.

Mr. Rose was born August 9, 1944 in Leesville, LA, was a 1962 graduate of Pickering High School, and served his country in the U.S. Army.  He retired from Foremost Dairy in 2009 after over thirty years of service.  Mr. Rose enjoyed bailing hay, spending time on his farm and collected antique farm equipment and diecast tractors.

Mr. Rose is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Maggie Cater Rose of DeRidder, LA; son, Emite “Roy” Rose, Jr. and wife Tammy of Shreveport, LA; daughter, Rhonda Fleming and husband Randy of DeRidder; brother, David Rose of DeRidder, LA; sisters Linda Finger of D’Hanis, TX and Joyce Simmons of Leesville, LA; grandchildren, Dustin Perkins and wife Codie, Austin Perkins, Logan Rose and Conner Rose; great-grandchildren, Bleu, Cason, Raven, and Eason; and a host of good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Irene Rose; brothers, Howard Rose and W. H. Rose; and a close uncle, Charlie B. Rose.

His cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
