Emma Mary Miller Abshire Bonin, 90, was called Home on December 4, 2017.
Born to Reese Malcom and Irene Augustine Miller in Woodlawn, Louisiana, Mrs. Bonin lived her life in the Lake Charles and Moss Bluff area. She was a hairdresser for more than 20 years. She was a compassionate, kind woman, who loved to travel, fish, read, and spend time with her children.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Darlene Forrest and husband David of Moss Bluff; four sons, Duane Abshire and wife Barbara of Lake Charles, Martin Abshire, Jr., Robert Abshire, and Danny Abshire, all of Houston; two stepdaughters, Sheryl Bonin of Lake Charles, and Deborah Hunt and husband Peter of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Joseph Miller of Woodlawn; one sister, Margaret Butts and husband Jim of Grand Lake; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 34 years, Dale Bonin.
Graveside services will be at 11AM on December 6, 2017 at Old Ritchie Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Clay Fontenot and Bro. David Forrest will officiate.
The family would like to express their grateful appreciation for the compassionate care given to their mother to Dr. Timothy Hamon, Dr. Mohommed Khan, Dr. Mir Khan, Dr. Micheal Turner, Harbor Hospice, & L.C. Care Center.
