Emma Darlene McGee, aged 73 passed away on June 19, 2023 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was born on July 17, 1949, in Harrisburg, Illinois, and was a loving wife to her late husband, Leo McGee. Emma was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, who lived her life with unwavering faith and devotion to her family.
Emma was a one-of-a-kind person, who cherished spending time with her family, especially during holidays. She loved baking goodies, sharing memories, and laughing with her loved ones. Her contagious laugh and gentle spirit made her an angel to everyone around her.
Emma had a passion for reading, painting, writing in her bible, and praying. Her faith in the Lord brought her comfort and inspiration throughout her life. Emma was a true testament to the beauty of God's love and her love for him was evident in all that she did.
Emma is survived by her sister, Deborah Cramton and her three children, Charles Comeaux, Christi Foster (Thomas Foster) and Matthew McGee (Amber McGee) She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Samantha O’Neil, Sarah O’Neil, Alex McGee, Christopher McGee, Briana McGee, and Chelsea Steelman (Ryan Steelman) as well as her three great-grandsons Beckett Fontenot, Eric Steelman, and Jayce Steelman. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Marie Younger and brothers Cecil, Claude, Bob, and George, and her loving husband, Leo McGee.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa and there will be no formal services.
