Emma Marie Miller, born on September 5, 2007, in Sulphur, the daughter of Dale Joseph Miller, Jr. and Melissa Floyd, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021, at the age of 14.
Emma was attending Lacassine High School and was a member of the Lady Cardinal softball team. She loved being outdoors, spending time with her family, especially her cousins and baking with her Aunt Angela.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Dale Joseph Miller, Sr.
Emma is survived by her father, Dale Joseph Miller, Jr.; mother, Melissa Floyd; siblings, Devon Miller (Hali); Mathew Miller; Breanna Foreman (Cody); Dylan Miller; Kolby Miller; Payton Miller; paternal grandmother, Mary Nell Miller; maternal grandparents, Sherry and Mike Floyd; aunts, Monique Miller (Joe Messina); Theresa Miller (Matt Kelley); Angela Miller; Stacy Miller (Wendy Duhon); LaDonna Miller; Lynette Galvez; uncles, Dwayne Miller (Debra), and Steven Floyd (Brittany Hart); nieces, Raelynn Grace Foreman, and Adleigh Miller; nephew, Beckett Miller.
A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Rev. Jom Joseph, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. and will resume Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
