Ernestine G. King, born in Sanford, Maine, on August 24, 1940, daughter of the late Ernest and Kathleen (Harrinan) Befford. Ernestine passed away September 13, 2022, at the age of 82.
Ernestine was a homemaker. She was a member of the Assembly of God church and attended Bible Studies. She loved sewing, knitting, puzzles, and gardening.
Ernestine is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Ronald Earl King, Jr.; and a son, James King. She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Ricky King (Ginger); Ronnie King (Jennifer); daughters, Julie Fontenot (Matthew); Rhonda Stewart; a brother, Lester Hodgkins; and a sister, Edith Anderson (Clayton). She leaves sixteen grandchildren and fifty-one great-grandchildren.
Her cremation was entrusted to Johnson and Brown Funeral Home in Iowa, LA. Per Ernestine’s wishes there will be no services. We will hold so many wonderful memories close to our hearts.
