Ervy Dan Smith Sr.

Born in Vinton, LA on December of 1937 to Ethel & Wilson Smith., Dan was one of six siblings (Gladys Golden, Agnes Sargent, Margaret Weatherwax, Kenneth Smith and Helen Magnon). Dan lived a full life to the age of 77. He had many trades carpenter, oil field worker, Army, glass cutter and derrick worker. He loved to fishing and camping. His daily routine was to enjoy nature in whatever fashion available, sitting outside and watching the birds or taking walks, watching Spot run and play. The best part of his days was giving anyone a hard time for the fun of it.
Dan raised 9 kids; Lois & Larry Gremminger, Danette & Scott Sonnier, Ramona Babineaux, Kay & Derrill Maignaud , Brian Miller, Dan Smith, Jr., Guy Smith, Darrell Monte and Melissa Smith; 20 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home.
