Esa Bullard, born November 1, 1922, daughter of the late Thomas and Maya (Rider) Vezinat, passed away in Houston, Texas on May 31, 2024, at age 101.
A native of Mamou, Esa worked in the shipyard and Chennault Air Base during the war. She resided in Lake Charles before moving to Houston in 1962.
She was of the Baptist faith. Always full of life, she enjoyed being with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, spouse, Olen B. Bullard, and son-in-law, Huey Brooks.
Esa is survived by her daughter, Nanette Brooks; sons, Al Bullard and Steven Scott and wife Ann; 4 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 11 a.m. Pastor Alan Weishampel, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Garden in Lake Charles under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin Friday at 10 a.m.
