Estelle "Sweetie" George
October 21, 1925 — February 14, 2021
Estelle “Sweetie” George, born October 21, 1925 in Crowley to the late Felician and Marie (Boudreaux) Duhon, went to be with the love of her life, the late William Perry George, I, on February 14, 2021, at the age of 95.
Sweetie was a member of First Baptist Church of Sulphur, where she was a member of the choir. Her love of singing led her to join the Messiah Chorus where she was a 30-year member. Sweetie was creative and was a professional interior decorator. She decorated many of the homes on Shell Beach drive.
Sweetie was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her love for life will be missed.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, William Perry George, I, and parents.
Sweetie is survived by her sons, Robert Larry “Bob” George (Catherine) of Arcadia, LA, and Daniel Keith ”Danny” George (Wanda) of Baytown, TX; siblings, Floyd Duhon; Howard Duhon and Earline Richard; grandchildren, Dr. Jody George (Amy); Ashley Allen (Rev. Luke) Adam George and Aaron George (Terri); 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11 am. Rev. Luke Allen, officiant. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.
