Ester Marie Boudreaux

Ester Marie Boudreaux, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on June 26, 1937, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Ester was the daughter of Mable Landry Gaspard and Vernon Louis Gaspard. She dedicated more than 20 years of her life to teaching nursery school at Poise N Ivy School ,where she lovingly nurtured and cared for countless children. Ester had a special gift for helping young minds grow and took great joy in watching the children she taught flourish throughout their lives.

Ester enjoyed spending time with friends over a cup of coffee, playing bingo and pokeno, and sharing laughter with those she loved. A devoted member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, her faith was an important part of her life. Above all, Ester cherished time spent with her family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Boud Stanley Boudreaux and wife, Julie Myers; daughter, Connie Kennedy and husband, Bobby; grandchildren, Kristie Fraim and husband, Chris, Jason P. Boudreaux, and Carlee Wallace and husband, Gerald; great-grandchildren, Jason Alexander Boudreaux, Emma Fraim, and Carter Wallace; her late son Vernon's fiancée, Kathy B. Broussard; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Stanley Larry Joseph Boudreaux; son, Vernon Louis Boudreaux; parents, Mable Landry Gaspard and Vernon Louis Gaspard; sister, Amy Gatlin; and brother, Donald Gaspard.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Home. Deacon Hearold Nixon will officiate. Visitation will be heldMonday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will continue Tuesday beginning at 9:00 a.m. A Rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. Ester will be laid to rest at Consolata Cemetery.
