Ethel Marie "Phillis" Michel

Ethel Marie Michel, 94, of Lake Charles passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Resthaven Nursing Center. Mrs. Michel served in the United States Navy, as a Navy Wave. She was a member of the LeBon Temps Dance Club, Ladies of the Sahara and a charter member of the University United Methodist Church. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memories are 3 daughters and sons-in-law: Phillis and Thomas Bernard of Metairie, Louisiana, Sandra and Randy Hudson of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Cynthia and Ted Cook of Bradenton, Florida; 5 grandsons: Johnnie and Gina Chimeno, Kenneth and Laura Chimeno, Casey and Melissa Cook, Christopher and Trisha Cook and Ross Hudson; 6 great grandchildren: Rachel, Jenna, Carmen and Dominic Chimeno, Jensen and Jackson Cook. Mrs. Michel was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth V. Michel; 2 sons, Kenneth Frank and Victor Michael Michel. The family has requested private burial in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery, Lake Charles, Louisiana.
