Ethel Stanford

Ethel Marie Carrier Stanford, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on December 21, 1928, in Church Point, Louisiana, Ethel lived a life filled with love and dedication to her family, making her home in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

As a devoted homemaker, Ethel poured her heart into nurturing and caring for her family. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters-Norma Boudreaux and husband "Butch", Linda Campbell, and Wanda Fontenot and husband Kevin, her sister, Nelma Cormier, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She cherished each moment spent with her family and instilled in them the values of kindness, compassion, and resilience.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, Batile and Evie Carrier, her husband, Lee Stanford, son, Kerney Stanford, grandson, Terry Stanford and 5 siblings.

A time of gathering for family and friends will be held Monday, May 19, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, with a Rosary to be recited at 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church at 1:00 PM. With burial to follow at Consolata Cemetery.
