Iowa – Eugene Black, Jr., born June 8, 1953, son of the late Eugene and Margie (Garner) Black, Sr., passed away, Friday, August 9, 2019, at the age of 66.
Eugene was a graduate of Sulphur High School, received bachelor’s degree in environmental science from McNeese and retired from Chem Waste. He enjoyed gardening, bowling, fishing and carpentry.
Survivors are his son, David Black (Crissy) of Iowa; mother of his son, Ivy Thomas Boada (Richard) of Moss Bluff; step-mother, Ledia Black of Conroe, TX; step-daughter, Jennifer Licht (Tim) of Sulphur; sisters, Joey Black (Henry “Toogie” Nugent) of Sulphur, Cassandra Black McGregor of Lake Charles; niece, Christina Montgomery Sosa of Clear Lake, TX.
Eugene is preceded in death by his parents.
Gathering of family and friends will begin Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Cremation is under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
