Lake Charles – Eugene Joseph Leger, born February 16, 1951 in Lake Charles, son of the late Willie and Irma (Miller) Leger, passed away Monday, January 27, 2020, at the age of 68.
Eugene enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved spending time with his family and friends. He knew the Lord and is with the Lord.
Eugene is survived by his wife of 25 years, Armentine LeBlanc Leger of Lake Charles; sons, Jody Ray Fisher (Elizabeth) of Lake Charles, Chad Edward Fisher (Nadia) of Pineville; sisters, Patsy Poole of Moss Bluff, Peggy Abshire of Ragley, Jerry Trahan of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Addie, Chasity, Annabelle and Ariah Fisher.
He is preceded in death by his son, Tracey Leger; parents; brother, Willie Ray Leger; sister, Eva “Tootsie” Marie Foreman.
A Celebration of life will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 3 p.m. Gathering of family and friends will begin Saturday from 2 p.m. ~ 3 p.m. in the funeral home. Cremation is under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations for funeral expenses.
