Eula Blanche Tarver, 85, of Sulphur, LA, died at 3:15 PM on Monday, August 1, 2016 in a local care facility.

Mrs. Tarver was born June 9, 1931 in Calion, AR, where she was raised. She met the love of her life and married him in Natchez, MS and settled in the Lake Charles area in 1966. She retired in 1982 and always joked that she “trained all the Doctors in the area.” Mrs. Tarver enjoyed volunteering, both her time and her talents and would crochet hats for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the Oncology department at LCMH, Abraham’s Tent and for the Care Cats at Northrop Grumman. Mrs. Tarver was always deep rooted in her faith and attended First United Methodist Church in Iowa and Emmanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed writing stories and poems and painting pictures, but her true love in life was for her family. Her whimsical and humorous spirit will live on forever in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and family.
