Eula Mae Babineaux, 82, of Lake Charles passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 in a local care center surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Babineaux was a native and life-long resident of Lake Charles. She was a 1952 Graduate of LaGrange High School and a 1972 graduate of Sowela Technical Institute. She worked with the payroll department at Moss Regional Hospital, the Heart Association, Volunteers of America and retired from the Calcasieu Parish School Board. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. Eula Mae was a devoted wife and loving mother who was always giving.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Amous and Della (Duhon) Derouen; brothers, Wilbert “T-Boy” Derouen and Jimmy Derouen; beloved husband, Nelson Peter Babineaux; and daughter, Christine Stracener.
She leaves to honor her memory four sons, Ronald Keith Babineaux and wife Donna, Glenn Mark Babineaux and wife Tammy, Dale Ward Babineaux and wife Molly, and Scott James Babineaux and wife Caroline; son-in-law, Mark Stracener; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and four great, great grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Tilley and husband Larry, Kat Salter and husband Billy, and Lillia (Shuney) Breaux as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 15, at Johnson Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service led by Deacon Anthony Pousson. Private interment alongside her beloved husband will take place at a later date.
