Eva "Alvie" Mcdaniel Stutes

Eva “Alvie” McDaniel Stutes, 57, of Lake Charles, LA passed away surrounded by her loving family at 1:45 AM Sunday, March 5, 2017 in a local care facility.

Alvie was born on August 23, 1959 in Lake Charles, LA to Charles and Jeannette McDaniel. She loved being around family and friends and especially her grand baby’s. Alvie also enjoyed yard work, interior decorating, visiting, and having a good time wherever she went, truly living life to the fullest. She served most of her life in the oilfield industry. She worked at Phillips 66 for years until later going into business for herself continuing the family legacy of hard work and dedication. She was also known for her wit and laughter. Many years have went by that many didn’t see her, but your memories were still with her and she spoke very fondly of her friends, always remember you have a special place in her heart. “Out of sight never meant out of mind”.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two children, Jacob J. Stutes and wife Teresa of Carlyss, LA and Tawanna McCardle and husband Casey of Lake Charles, LA; three grandchildren, Skylar and Slate McCardle and Paisley Stutes; six siblings, Johnny and wife Ruth Ann McDaniel, Sheila Helms, Tammy Thibodeaux and husband Phil, Thomas McDaniel and wife Debra, Chuck McDaniel and wife Daena, and Charlotte Guillory and husband Darren; loving step mother, Cindy McDaniel; and many nieces and nephews who she thought the world of.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Jeanette McDaniel.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:30 PM Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery. Her dear friend Father Alan Troullie will officiate services.
