Evangeline "Cookie" Farris Boullion

February 6, 1946 — November 2, 2023

It is with a heavy, but joyous and grateful heart that our family announces the passing of our beautiful mother, grandmother, friend, and wife—Evangeline “Cookie” Farris Boullion. She passed away peacefully at home on All Souls Day, surrounded with love, tenderness, graciousness, and appreciation for everything she brought into this world, and the legacy and passion for life and family she leaves behind.

Evangeline was born on February 6, 1946 in Lake Charles to Michael Emile Farris and Elizabeth “Betty” Lekos Farris. She was their firstborn, and immediately acquired the nickname “Cookie” from the delivery nurse because of all her dark hair. Her Greek and Lebanese heritage shaped who she was. From her vivacious and opinionated personality, to her elegant and graceful presence, she enjoyed social events, family celebrations, Christmas, and of course good food and grocery shopping.

Cookie met the love of her life at the left-field fence of an American Legion ballgame—Kenneth “Kenny” Boullion. They have been married for 52 years, and he was holding her hand and whispering “I Love You” until her last breath. Kenny supported her private battles with cancer over a span of fortyfive years with compassion, selflessness, tenderness, and afternoon drives. She fought valiantly to overcome different cancers throughout her lifetime and was strong-willed until the very end.

She graduated from LaGrange High School in 1964. She worked at Henry Avner Accounting, Lake Charles Electric, American Travel, and retired from Globetrek Travel after 25 years. She enjoyed helping others plan their dream trips, and especially traveling with Kenny. She loved fall foliage, covered bridges, the Greek Isles, Paris, and camping trips to Fort Wilderness. She cheered on the McNeese Cowboys and TCU Horned Frogs.

She was embraced in Heaven by her parents and sister Kathy Cook.

Her family legacy carries on with Kenny; son Todd Boullion and wife Tori of Austin; daughter Hollie Miller and husband Travis of San Antonio; grandkids Chloe, Cade and Logan; and her beloved ShihTzu Zoe.
