Evelyn Ella Breaux

Evelyn Ella Breaux, 92, of Sulphur, LA died Saturday, May 2, 2015 surrounded by her loving family in her residence. Evelyn was born on November 12, 1922 in Ebenezer, LA to Dennis and Ella Sweeney. She especially loved being around family and friends where ever she went. With her husband John, she was a compassionate Bible teacher throughout southwest Louisiana and Texas, also serving congregations in other parts of the United States from 1977 thru 2001. She enjoyed singing, dancing, crocheting, cooking, grandchildren and reading. She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, John Breaux of Sulphur, LA; three children, Don Breaux and wife Maureen of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Gary Breaux and wife Ruby of Patterson, NY, and Roxie Doucet and husband Jimmie of Sulphur, LA; three grandchildren, Jody Doucet and wife Leslie of Westlake, LA, Jon Doucet and wife Lacey of Sulphur, LA, and Simone Breaux from Sulphur, LA; three great grandchildren, Kenley Doucet of Sulphur ,LA, Coy Doucet of Sulphur ,LA, and Emerson Breaux of Sulphur, LA; and a large spiritual family. She was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM Monday, May 4, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home with cremation to follow. A Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home.
