Lake Charles-Flora Hollermann, 81, passed away in a local care facility Wednesday, April 29, 2015 surrounded by her family.
Flora was born in Gillis to the late Fred and Bernice Daigle Holland on March 16, 1934. She was a graduate of Marion High School in 1952. Flora, better known as Aunt Coon to her nieces and nephews, was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and keep her own statistics on the players.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 56 years, Herold Hollermann of Lake Charles; sisters, Rita Brown of Ragley and Linda “Monk” Bridges and husband, Barney of Lake Charles; brother-in-laws, Robert Hollermann, and Vernon Hollermann and wife, Barbara; sister-in-laws, Sister Ephrem Hollermann, O.S.B., and Betty Schloemer and husband, Bernie, all of MN; several nieces, nephews and great nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, May 2, 2015 (which would have been their 56th wedding anniversary) at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in New Ritchie Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday in the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will resume Saturday from 8 a.m. until the time of service.
