Florence Gwynn Schap

Florence Gwynn Schap, 77, of Sulphur passed away on November 10, 2018 in her residence under the care of Harbor Hospice with Kari and her family at her side. She was a native of Lake Charles and lived in Sulphur most of her life. Florence was a member of Maplewood First Baptist Church, she served as a member of their choir and the hostess committee. She also attended the Medical Missions to Honduras for over 10 years.

Florence is survived by her two daughters, Natalie Schap Cox Hart and husband Dan of Batesville, AR and Twila Schap of Sulphur; sister, Jeannine Garoutte of Lake Charles; 4 grandchildren, Cody and Cameron Cox, Court and his wife Megan and Chase Gabriel; and  3 great grandchildren, Drake, Kolten and River.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 1 P.M. at Maplewood First Baptist Church in Sulphur with Rev. Jeremy Blocker and Rev. Ronnie Burke officiating. Burial will be in Goss Cemetery in Lake Charles at a later date. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 12, at the church from 10 A.M. until time of the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Maplewood First Baptist Church.
