Floyd Young

Floyd Paul Young, 81, of Lake Charles, died at a local care facility, surrounded by his family.

Floyd was born at Grand Chenier on September 7, 1935 to Pierre and Margaret Miller Young. He retired from the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury and of the Catholic Faith.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Florence Cormier Young, Lake Charles; two sons, Delta Young and wife Susan and Donald Young; three grandchildren, Daniel Young, Evan Young and Ellen Saucier; four great grandchildren, Alexis Young, Levi Saucier, Delta Young, and Colton Saucier; sisters, Bernice Kershaw and Frances Dansby; and a brother, Joseph Young and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. No formal services are to be observed. As to his wishes, Floyd was cremated under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
