Forrest Lane Pearce, 23, of Oakdale, LA, died on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 in his residence.
Forrest was born March 15, 1993 in Lake Charles, LA, where he lived most of his life. He was a graduate of Barbe High School and attended Sowela Technical School. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was a past member of the IBEW #861 and worked for the City of Oakdale. Forrest loved to make people laugh. He had a heart of gold and enjoyed helping others. He had numerous friends and always saw the good in others. Forrest also loved skateboarding and mud riding. He will be missed dearly by those who loved him.
Forrest is survived by his mother, Ruby Trahan and husband Chris of Oakdale, LA; father, John Pearce and wife Julie of Lake Charles; brothers and sisters, Carli Hendricks, Caitlin Spears, Courtney Pickering, Chase Pickering, and Caleigh Pickering; grandmother, DeeDee Pearce of Lake Charles; two nieces; one nephew; and a host of others that he loved dearly and considered his family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Viola Swire, Jessie Hendricks, Sr., and John L. Pearce; great-grandmother, Eleanor Landry; brother-in-law, Roman Lopez; and close friend, Valley Willis.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Mark Stagg will officiate. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
