Forrest L. Reber
Woodville, Texas – Forrest L. Reber, born March 9, 1934, in Auburn, PA, son of the late Lee Reber and Agnes Fidler, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 10, 2021, at the age of eighty-seven.
Forrest, a 20-year veteran of the U. S. Airforce, served two tours in Vietnam. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed golf and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley Holland Reber; Jane Pearl Reber, son, Eldridge “Tom” Reber; daughter, Bonnie Breaux, and grandson, Cpl. Richard Schoener.
Forrest is survived by sons, Ian Smith of Chesterfield, England; Vernon Reber of Bell City, LA; Harold Reber of Bell City; Grant Reber of Lake Arthur; daughters, Karlene DiCello of LaMarque, Texas, and Julie Reber of Lacassine; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Memorial services will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. A gathering of friends and family begins at 9 a.m.
