Frances Carolyn Simmons Bernard, 71, of Lake Charles, LA died at 3:00 AM on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Bernard is survived by her son, Darren Armistead of Lake Charles; grandchild, Henry Schmutz; brother, Sammy Simmons of Lake Charles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Bernard; parents, Frank and Lois Simmons; daughter, Deborah L. Schmutz; and sister, Bonnie Smith.
Her graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Prien Memorial Park, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Reverend Chris Fuselier will officiate.
