Frances Helmer

Frances Elaine Helmer, 90, of Sulphur passed away on September 13th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Frances was born on June 30th, 1934, in Roberts Cove, Louisiana to Joseph and Emilia Murrell. She enjoyed many things in life and one of the most cherished was her family and spending time with her husband in the outdoors. Frances enjoyed cooking and feeding her family. She loved playing solitaire for hours on end every day.

Survivors include two children, Desiree Helmer Dalomba (Darrin Childress) and Royce Helmer (Angel LeJeune); loving daughter in law, Kathy Helmer; three grandchildren, Kelsey Helmer, Dustin Helmer, and Samantha Helmer; one great grandchild, Cecil Richard and four siblings.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Clifford Helmer; son, Morris Helmer; grandson, Adam Richard; and 9 siblings.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, September 16th, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur, LA. Visitation will begin on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of services at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur. Burial will be at Mimosa Pines Cemetery South. Pastor Marcus Wade will officiate services.
